The 2021 Wheelchair Rugby League Grand Final saw the Leyland Warriors face the Leeds Rhinos at Medway Park in Gillingham as the Rhinos looked to clinch a famous treble but who had been pushed close by their opponents earlier in the season despite losing all five encounters.

With the support of wheelchair form of the sport gathering momentum based on its speed and intensity, the events showpiece final was broadcast live by SKY for the first time as they bring three Grand Finals to our viewing screens over the coming weeks.

Got to be honest and say i forgot about it and only saw last 20 mins but really enjoyable. It was fast and entertaining. Always wondered how it was played and what it was like.

Some of the tries in the corner was pretty spectacular. Fierce game at times too.

Really good and well done to all involved.

It was a great game to watch and could have gone either way until late in the game. It was also good to see proper wheelchair rugby on TV, not the NFL version they play in the Olympics.

The club should be proud, not only at yesterday's win. But also that they run women's, PDRL and wheelchair teams. Other clubs should take note

We really enjoyed watching the game, the skill on show and the utter drive to win by BOTH teams.

The game was in the balance right into the last 5 mins and to see James Simpson in tears after the game through shear emotion even brought a tear to myself.

I hope there is going to be more of this televised in this manner as this was not just a great advert for the PDRL teams but as a sport as a whole.
