I remember the season Bradford weren't going anywhere so broke the salary cap to sign a world class player and then went onto win the final.

Perhaps he means that one?

Similar to when Wigoon were last at the bottom of the league and broke the salary cap to get out of it.

Is there any common link between these two things?
