Oh I see, so the entire England team are undeserving of their places except the 2 Wigan players

Locky, or is it SOL? I've got confused with all these pet names you have for each other.

When? In every international appearance? Or in the World Cup? Because all those players you've mentioned have excelled at one point or another in their international careers. Maybe not for long, but certainly for as long as your 2 Wigan players who seem immune from de-selection in your view.
By the way it hasnt escaped notice that you only mentioned Leeds and Saints players as players who arent able to make the step up. So the 2 teams that have dominated for years arent good enough, but Wigan who only escaped relegation by cheating are more able to step up to the plate

You appear to be like the other idiots who simply want no-one who played in the World Cup to ever pull on an England shirt again. As if pride was a reason why we played so poorly.
If you'd said Wellens had lost his pace and so someone like Briscoe would be a better bet at full back and come up with similar reasons for not selecting the others then we may be able to take you seriously. But just issuing a blanket statement like "they've failed to perform" is useless.

Once again we do not know about Tomkins or Eastmond both are untested and unproven time will tell but they have both made a good start to there International careers.

Locky every time has played has generally been one of Englands stand out players even when his club form has dipped.

Every player in the International team is vulnerable and that is the way it should be. I see no reason though to drop anyone from Yesterdays team they all have earned the right to play in the final, although i possibly would have included Smith over Briscoe at fullback were he not going to Union.

Again the attempts to put words in my mouth is baffling.

I clearly stated only 2 Wigan players are deserving of selection, i could make a case for Gleeson but certainly non of the rest. I am a realist. Wigan are currently going through a similar period of underachievement that Leeds did for so long in the not too distant past.

Regards only criticising Leeds and Saints players well its a bit difficult not to when they dominate the International team and have been the best 2 teams who have top class domestic players playing for them, yet failed to raise there game when it comes to International rugby.

Its not a criticism of Leeds or Saints its more a criticism of the standard of SL.

Regards Locky/SOL, it seems several of the posters on here refer to him as SOL, so i was just conforming to the Leeds forum. I am all for fitting in seeing as you have made me feel so welcome.

Every player in our squad could probably earn more money with another club. But they prefer to sacrifice a few extra quid in their back pocket to share special memories. And playing at a place like Old Trafford on a night like this makes it all worthwhile.

So you can't. In the infrequent times he's been selected, fit to play, come off the bench he's been solid and no more.

<Groan> Log on in the wake of a great England performance and, lo and behold, there's a wigan fan extolling the virtues of "Locky". Surely he'll never be picked again for an international?

would this be the man of the series Rob Burrow who is an international failure?

how can an international success be not as good as an international failure?

But the unmitigated failures that are Rob Burrow, Danny McGuire, Kevin Sinfield, Paul Wellens, Leon Pryce and Jon Wilkin aren't a patch on a certain player.
Its obvious.
Anyone with an ounce of RL knowledge can see it.
Rob Burrow only won man of the series in 2007 because he wowed the easily swayed, but the real RL people could see behind this charade and could spot the real brains and heart of the England team.

He may have pubes for hair.

He may have had a starring role in a popular US Kids TV show.

But Sean O'Loughlin has the mental strength, skill, willpower and all-round greatness that no other England player can come close to matching.
