I was just wondering how Jake Webster has gone for you guys in these pre season friendlies.
Early thoughts...?
Very good mate,He's a big lad!! , Just hope we can keep him free of injuries , if we can i believe Jake and Justin Carney could be the centre/winger partnership we at Cas have been looking for.
For me, was one of the best players we've signed in SL when he was fit and on form. But the fact he is made of chocolate was a serious hinderance to his career
As said, if he stays free from injury he will be quite a coup for Castleford. He has looked good so far and I think that he looks leaner than he did last season when playing for Hull KR. Our left-hand side, in both attack and defence, of Carney, Webster and Gilmour / Hauraki looks to have enormous potential.
He is a good player and hopefully is past his injury's what hampered his Hull KR career, some times when a player changes clubs he also changes his fortunes, he was very unlucky with injury at KR, so we will have to see. At least we will be starting the season with two centres rather than who ever is available
"Castleford's biggest home crowd of the 1991-1992 season wasn't quite 12,000 while on average they'd sit around 6000 but the noise, the chanting and the singing just blows you away" - Tawera Nikau "Standing Tall"
"I can tell you the atmosphere was extraordinary at Wheldon Road on big days. The ground held around 15,000 people, every one of them close to the action on the field and the noise would be enough to send a rumble through the town" - Malcolm Reilly "Reilly - A Life in Rugby League"
