Heard Basil on Radio Leeds tonight saying Dicko's season is over. Not sure what our back line will be for the Leeds game in a fortnight but it looks like we will be even more stretched now.

I thought Owen looked out of place on the wing today and came up with a lot of errors. I would probably go with Owen at full back, YQuest and Williams (if he is still here) on wing and Ferres and Thompson in at centre. Can't really see any other options.

I'm still not convinced by Griffin, he looks ok in attack but his defence lets him down for me. Don't know what anybody else thinks, this is only my opinion?

I'd be looking to get Brierley back ASAP now or give James Clare a go if he's fit. Owen & Thompson in the centres, Clare/Williams & Griffin on the wings and Youngquest/Brierley at FB.

I'd go with this back line also. Got to keep Ferres in the second row where he is far more effective.

I agree with you about Ferres, he is much better when in the pack. My only concern is Griffin's defence, he is still young and hopefully his errors can be coached out of him. Time will tell I suppose. I still think we will be up against it when we play Leeds whoever is in the back line.

What the hell was Millward playing at yesterday? continously swapping Youngy and Owen, would imagine that is part of the problem, they don't even know where they are playing half the time!!

I would suspect given that Owen's inability to catch a high ball and proneness to making errors the purpose of switching was to allow Youngquest to take on the full-back role in defence and the wing role in attack.

Thought Owen had a shocker yesterday and wouldn't be comfortable putting him in the centre as his defence is too weak. Youngquest was one of our better players at fullback but that leaves us short on the wing.

Dixon had a poor game also but know why now and fair play to him for putting his hand up to play!

Griffin is too weak defensively to play in the centre also.

Can't see much alternative other than playing Ferres in the centre along with Thompson. I agree Ferres is much more suited to the 2nd/back row but in the absence of Dixon and Arundel we've only got one viable centre in Thompson and Ferres seems the next best option, unless we play McGoldrick there... but then defensive frailties come into play again.
