Adam Watene Walk -Part 2 : Sun Jul 26, 2009 7:14 pm  

Thanks to all who joined the walk today.

On leaving Castleford Ground we called at Cas Panthers and were well looked after by the Volunteers there , led by Enid who some of you may have seen was named Volunteer of the Year at Belle Vue today. We then went through Normanton and would like to say a thank you for their hospitality to the Landlordsof the BLack Swan and of the Hark to Mopsey , the latter making a donation to the Fund. We then gathered at the Horse and Group for a final get together before the last stretch of the alk to Belle Vue. Some of the walk was covered by Angela Powers so will hopefully be shown on Boots n All on Wednesday.

Thanks again - lets hope we can all get out of bed tomorrow.

Have known Edith for many years and she has always made away teams players and coaches/parents very welcome at Panthers, a lovely lady.

The walk was much more enjoyable than i thought it would be, everyone who i talked to was in high spirits and very friendly

The lap of honour when we got there topped it all off for me, seeing a whole ground unified for a few minutes

Maybe make it an annual thing???

thanx to all the fans that didnt give me any hassle(banter) during the walk..enjoyed the day...hope it goes well for cas this season

Yes someone else said this after the walk, maybe its an idea say for the benevolent Fund ?
