This looks like one of those signings that will either be brilliant, or disaster.

I doubt there will be much inbetween. With a young family is he likely to move? I doubt it, which means pressure either on travel, or worse staying away from home a couple of days a week - which is equally trying.

Good luck to the bloke, he deserves all he can get after the service he's given Saints....... they really show other clubs how to be ruthless don't they!

Big time gamblers Hull, but it's paid off for them before, one example was of course, when they merged with Gateshead.
Big gamble for two years Mr Long, already on the slide I believe, but who knows, probably not even Long will have any idea, but imagine commuting all that way several times a week, can't see it lasting.

Already looking at houses in Hull apparently

We're far from "Unlucky" by signing Sean Long, in fact on the whole we're seeing it as a good signing and gives us exactly what we need.

The lad has past it, thats why Saint's only offered a one year deal, anyway good luck to Hull if it pays off.
