Possible diversion for those going to Huddersfield on Sunday : Thu May 28, 2009 5:51 am
There is a serious possibility of a diversion for all those going to the Galpharm Stadium on Sunday. Well there will be if you go via Huddersfield town centre and decide to visit the Rugby League Heritage Centre!
It is located in the basement of the George Hotel which is very near to the main railway station.
In there you will find a great collection of Rugby League history and memorabilia: century old digitised photographs, cups, trophys, banners, boots, jerseys and other assorted items. On sale are a number of recently published books, magazines, novels and DVDs and Sam the manager will be on hand to give a guided tour or just answer questions. There are also three plasma screen tvs showing matches from both sides of the equator, pre war and quite recent.
Admission is now free and if you have the time you could easily spend an hour in there.
