castleford the back end of seson : Sat May 23, 2009 7:29 pm
well we made a good start but i think we will lack depth to secure a play off spot with injuries cas are a chain take owt a link and there knackers e.g sherwin, chase, mcgoldrick i know the licences have come in and teams are safe but with all the transfer saga lately and cas are quiet? same old same old eh? to me they need a full back and another winger for this season wainwright nationleague 1 player brought through his lack of abilty and pace and size he sometimes is awful to watch and with mcgoldrick at the back he is mising on some set pieces donlon is missed greatly teams like wigan st helens hull kr are hungry for sucess and will buy it are and you carnt fault them i just hope castleford wont be daft and say lets bring the kids through and the fans will come what may because if they do and certain players in our team or lat me state them

mcgoldrick - wigan cert
shenton - bradford bulls cert
feather -wigan romour
ferres- hull kr romour
evans- celtic crusaders romour

people meant say yeah just another romour boy but when these players arent training they talk if you lose these players and bring the young ones through cas are going back on there selfs and that scares me .

really hope we do do it and can push the big guns but are the board gunna need half the salary cap next year fot the glasshoughton projest for waystone

McGoldrick & Shenton wont go, that is unless Wigan & Bradford are willing to pay about 400k a piece - unlikely, and they are last seasons rumours so you're a year too late

Feather will be re-signed by Cas in the next couple of weeks.

Ferres can go for all I care, vastly over rated and Cas can get better.

Evans, again can go because he's a quota player and only on a 1 year deal.

"Need half the salary cap for the Glasshoughton project" - again VASTLY wrong and way off the mark, seems funding is already in place.

Another read through your drivel also shows you know nothing at all about rugby saying Donlan offered more then McGoldrick at set pieces, this is just a shockingly poor attempt at trolling and you should be embarrassed for posting such crap.

McGoldrick and Shenton are both under contract for another 2/3/4 years so unless those clubs stump up cash, they aren't going anywhere.

I have to agree we have to strengthen NOW.
It's been proved with 3/4 injuries we cant cope, 3 defeats in SL on the trot and the good work at the begining of the season as all been undone.
We should have brought a hooker in on loan when hudson was first injured.
A big loss not having a regonised hooker. Also that full back position, james ford is no full back as proved yesterday.
Having ryan mcg out for a couple of games as disrupted the team big style and FB is a must.
I cant agree about wainwright, i think he's doing a good job though i would give ford a go on the wing instead of FB.
Not sure if richard wright will get anyone else in, this is cas and we have always gone with the attitude of ''we'll be ok'' .

not heard of the Ferres one this side of 2009....

Disco - Expansion of the game is a good thing, undoubtedly, but in the main what people simply want to assert is that you don't kill the roots to spread the tree.

The Curtism - The battles are fought on the field and the friends are made in the bar. There's no hatred among real men.
