"Castleford's biggest home crowd of the 1991-1992 season wasn't quite 12,000 while on average they'd sit around 6000 but the noise, the chanting and the singing just blows you away" - Tawera Nikau "Standing Tall"

"I can tell you the atmosphere was extraordinary at Wheldon Road on big days. The ground held around 15,000 people, every one of them close to the action on the field and the noise would be enough to send a rumble through the town" - Malcolm Reilly "Reilly - A Life in Rugby League"

That would explain why I was unable to find the application number to view the application on-line! I just called and got the number and she did confirm that the correct fee had not been received and it would not go on the public access system or be taken forward until then.

The application numbers are as follows (for future reference)

Outline - 06/02516/OUT (The original outline application made in 06)

Reserved Matters - 10/02501/REM (the recent reserved matters application)

Great minds think alike.

I rang the planners to ask the same question - They thought I was you calling them back.

 8)

I had been trying to search for the application number online for the last couple of weeks so I could look at the drawings, but the search facility is just rubbish, so I had been meaning to ring them for a while to get it direct from them. I didn't have to ask about the fee, she just told me that although it had a number the REM was not online yet as they had not received the fee.

Excuse my ignorance, but does this mean that despite the application being in for 4 weeks or so as the fee has not been received it has not been looked at and therefore we are still maybe 12-13 weeks away from a decision !!!

I thought the Westerman money was being used for the detailed app ?

Think some answers are required.

Yes.

To clarify they did use the words 'correct fee' which may mean that they have paid some of the fee but not enough. Planning Departments are quite good and I know from personal experience Wakefield are very good at getting back to you if the fee is incorrect. When I put my house extension in for planning last year the fee's had just risen but I still had the old fee sheet. They called my two days after they received it and informed my that they required some extra money, which I sent through by return but then a letter also arrived a couple of days later reminding me of the phone call and asking for the additional monies.

"I'm sorry, but I would hope that we would beat Cas with a 1 day turnaround."

An arrogant Wigan fan a few days before we stuffed them 18-4 at the JJB.
