What annoys me is that people may actually believe this man who is wrong on so many counts.

“Our outline planning approval from Wakefield Council on 22 October was unanimous, and simply needed some additional input from the Highways Agency."

They have not got any form of planning approval and at best will not have for about 12 months.

"Castleford, for example, have to go back to the full planning committee to have their proposal approved”

So have Wakfield if they manage to get outline approval.

“We have been able to access funding from the £2million fund put aside by Wakefield Metropolitan District Council for us for the last year."

I thought the funding was only approved last Tuesday

"Castleford haven’t been able to access those funds because they haven’t yet set up a Community Trust, and Council’s cannot give funds to limited companies”

Presumably we haven't needed the funds yet, but again, perhaps we waited until they were formally approved and also he should know that The Wakefield and District Community Trust is a limited company seeing he is a director of it!!

HI JUST AS QUICK POST AS IAM UNSURE AT TO WEATHER THE PLANS FOR THE CAS STADIUM HAS BEEN APPROVED AND GIVEN THE GO AHEAD TO START IF NOT WHEN DO YOU EXPECT THIS TO HAPPEN

Outline PP was approved in 2007.

Full PP was submitted in December with approval expected in 13 weeks although could be as early as 6-8 weeks.

Same Council, different projects. However, it wasn't the Council that called in Wakefield's stadium plans. In fact, the Council have been wholly supportive of both projects. They just don't have the financial clout to build both.
