All change at that level has a highly disrupting affect, anyone who thinks that it is a magic bullet is deluded.Richard has become a metaphor for all the ills, but people should be careful what they wish for, becuase if there was a magic bullet looking at the level of personal abuse Richard gets, he would have fired it by now.
One thing if change is forced may be that any new additions or successors may be forced to admit some of the constraints and perhaps credit some of the stability the current board have afforded us. I suspect however it will be like a new government where it is a simple game of blaming the people from before for all the reasons the new govt can't do what they said- 2 years into this govt, that's the stock answer still.
Richard has shortcomings, we all do and I think Richard may admit he has been quite conservative, but sometimes you have to be careful what you wish for, some of the people being touted to be involved, albeit alleged potential involvement right now I concede, I wouldn't trust to lead a conga round my back garden without bumping into the fence.
