As for us playing a crap brand of RL...I would take the 2 points over style any day

And you deserved them yesterday. Admittedly I do find Harlequins extremely boring to watch though.

I think the conditions dictated the way the game was played, it was extremely boggy and no-one could really get any momentum. thought both defences were excellent and in those conditions thats what you need.

Truth - we had dorn and you didnt, we had a kicker who kicked one from the touchlie, you had one who missed two - simple.

Referee was a total disgrace and was the onmly person who deserved to be boo'd by all the fans!

for me they have recruited too heavily and brought in too many new faces and it will take time for them to gel. Towards the back end of last season Cas were showing signs that they could compete in super league and had some great wins but they've got to start from virtually scratch again rather than having to build on last seasons end with a steady influx of fresh blood.

Totally agree. I believe Harlequins, or rather London Broncos as they were then used to make wholesale changes to their team every season and invariably started slowly as a result.

Anyone looking at statistics over the last 10 games of last season will see we were starting to look a reasonable side. Had we retained Dorn & Catic and only added around 5 or 6 new signings we could have integrated them reasonably quickly started a lot quicker. As it is, it may be 10 games in before the side comes together.

You have to bear in mind that our recruitment ahead of this season has been done with a three-year spell in Super League in mind, where as last year we could only really recruit for that season. We've still retained the nucleus of last season's squad, which is extremely important in terms of continuity. The position that we're in now however should provide us with stronger continuity going into 2010 and 2011 and reduced need to make wholesale changes to the squad between seasons. I still get the feeling that many Cas fans are thinking very short-term, when what we need to be doing is thinking about the next three seasons as a long term commitment.
