Re: Gareth Ellis coming home : Wed Mar 21, 2012 1:10 pm
Well, it is not often on this forum we call it right, but I am pleased that this facade is done now.Said it weeks ago: "There is more chance of me getting a contract with Cas than Gaz Ellis"
Money and a public clamour for his affections was the objective of this whole parade: Not having a pop at Ellis, I would do the same - but I said it before, if he wanted to sort himself out fuss free with a club his heart desierd, he would have had his people ring Richie Wright, done a deal having cleared it privately with Wests.
By coming out and publically saying he didn't want a fuss and his heart said blah blah..... he created a clamour in the market to test his value and then cashed in that value - for those claiming to know the ins and outs of who offered most, you are incorrect.
Absolutely perfect piece of business by a fabulous comodity and rightly he should cash in on his value and look after his family - I have no criticism of him; but for those romantic individuals who had him already in black and amber and it was "our signing to lose" I think you are a little naive.
