I would have a wager on RW having the 22nd in mind. Just to keep up the media campaign.
Although if it were the other way round I'm sure I'd move with similar tactics.

If it's not in by the 22nd and everything goes our way we will be neck and neck, then it really could come down to funding.
-That said the 20th (CSR- Comprehensive spending review) could potentially put a huge rock in Salford's way- as 22M out of the 26M total cost is coming from local government. And we know what David Cameron et al think about local spending at the moment. Thank god for the private sector!

I'd be very disappointed if Cas deliberately tied in this with the Wakefield application hearing. I'd prefer us to have it submitted when it's ready rather than trying any sort of anti-Wakefield PR coup.

I agree that the 22nd would be a bit daft as the Wakefield outcome (yes or no) would be much bigger news.

Any other day near to the 22nd would be fine as every man and his dog see this as a race to build between us and Wakefield.

I am not too sure if Outline planning permission will be the answer to Wakefield problems.

We couldn't have wrote the script, Cas (in my opinion) can not afford a new Stadium and Wakefield (in my opinion) will not receive full planning permission

Just be careful commenting on a process if you don't fully understand it! I am not having a go but you clearly don't understand the planning process as the 22nd and then the following 28 days is most certainly the answer! Any reserved matters application following a positive outline decision is a formality.
