Much more effort from Cas players this week, just the application that was wanting at times.
That's the 2nd home game in a row where our outside backs have been shown up to not good enough by a much superior opposition back line.
Not sure Millward can do much about that, after all he highlighted that as the weak area when he arrived but said there weren't any decent players around to sign.
What frustrates me most with Cas though is our inability to do the basics right. If you don't have the skills - which we clearly don't - then you need to be well drilled and methodical to have any chance of beating sides like Hull, Leeds, Huddersfield (in fact most of the other teams in Superleague!).
Time and again our kick-chase is so halfhearted and disjointed that its no surprise that at least once a game an opposition back is able to beat the chase and go half the length of the field to set up a try.
When you watch most sides put a high kick in towards the try line the defending team is put under real pressure to catch it such that they either concede a try or another lot of possession. We put those sort of kicks in on about 4 occasions yesterday and not once was the Hull defender put under any pressure. On each occasion they were able to catch the ball as easy as you like whilst Cas may as well have stood and applauded their efforts!
