Not accurate. Wheels are in motion on a deal for WR but nothing is signed and there will be a funding shortfall which has to be bridged IF (and there is doubt about this) ALL planning issues go through ok.

Actually the club has said even with the shortfall the stadium can be built, just without some of the (pointless) extras that were going to be in.

Also nothing is signed yet because 2 companies have had confirmed offers placed.

I know its only in the rumour phase but potentially CT could be forced out of Wheldon Road due to building starting so staying won't be an option (as Saint Helens at Widnes).

Fev will soon have a near all-seater stadium with a capacity similar to Wakey and Hull KR. Rent would be cheaper than the Keepmoat and far nearer geographically.

Ask yourself this - Does anyone realistically think that Tigers will play at Wheldon Road whilst a new stadium at GH is fully built ? Whoever buys WR won't just sit and wait for us to move out when we are ready.

The shortfall is to cover extras within the stadium for the fans and additional features; the club want the best stadium possible at the first attempt.

Cas will stay at WR until GH is built and I would guess this will be in any agreement made.

Hope you are right Fully. It would be good to have an official update from the club regarding this though.

No, nothing is signed yet because nothing has been ratified by the people that matter.

Go speak with I A yes it's not signed yet as we know but its been approved up to board level, there will be a final senior board meet in the next few week to officially sign it off.

So there is hope for you yet as its not finalised 100%

Not what I’m hearing, a planning application for a supermarket on WR has been earmarked for submission in the middle of the year, but not for the Cas ground…

Not worried at all 'old chap', it has no bearing on Wakefields plans if thats what you mean. Confidence is high that will go through. I don't need to talk to IA, i've been told by someone involved who I know through some other business i'm dealing with what the latest state of play is (as of last week anyway) and yes a deal is in principle agreed but has to be ratified by the board. This may well happen in the next week, it may get deferred for a while, thats up to them. But nothing will be happening quickly if it does go through, these things take an abhorrent amount of time, but thats anothers argument altogether.

For what its worth I genuinely both developments will go through and I think they will, but neither at the speed we would like. Such is life.
