No to Rangi playing for England and no to Mick Dobson playing for England.
If a player had an english parent or was born here its diffo but these rules are just a joke.
And yes i know its the rfls rault bit like you guys slagging HKR for the amount of overseas players and guess what ? Thats the rfls rules again !!!
No rules broken in either case but wow how stupid are the folk running our great game ?

It's a no for me if Kiwis came knocking he would have been off like a shot and who can blame him. We were his only other option and we should have treated the situation the same way. It also raises a question for me. I asked on another thread that in playing for England will this remove his need to have a visa in this country thus making his availabilty to other clubs in the future. If Rangi had been found not guilty the risk of gaining a visa to play for another club would have been less risky and he could have been well on his way by now. For me the notion of playing for a country and having to have a Visa to work their seems bizare to say the least and doesn't seem right at all.

As far as i know his visa runs in conjunction with employment at Cas if he was to leave and try for another superleague club he would have to re apply. That's were the risky bit would have come in. I was asking if playing for England makes you exempt as it's seems strange to have a working visa for a country which you are representing. If he got refused a visa at any point his only options would have been NRL/New Zealand domestic league or Catalan Dragons.

No, you were making inaccurate comments about Castleford's ability to produce international standard players. Castleford have produced two England internationals in recent years. I was simply comparing our record with another mid table club, one you happen to support.

If you want to whinge about the inability of SL clubs to produce England internationals, you should look closer to home.

Originallity is relative. An England RL international from East Hull and a product of the KR academy on the other hand would most certainly be original.
