missed him last week good to see him back and playing to the ability we know he can, thought he linked up superbly with faumuina as well as the centres.

...and me. Never doubted him, he's a class act.

He's been a target in defence, just like every other half back. Take him out of our team and take out all the tries he creates.

Getting older is mandatory; growing up is optional.

So what are our options? Swap a half back for grafter of a second rower just to sure up the defese out wide? Fact is, that's the area coaches target. The weakpoint out wide were the half back is "hiding". No doubt we'll target such as Burrow when we play Leeds, not cos he's crap or anything but because he's the little half back who, let's say, Faumuina can steam role over. It's what happens in RL and all coaches target the lil' half back. The trick for the defending team is not to let that lil' half back get issolated, which we did, we left Shifty with a one on one with such as Karl Pryce running at him.

Anyway, Shifty can let in 3 tries a game so long as he's creating four.

i appreciate they were targetting his side of the fied but he didnt even stand his ground and force their hand - he shot out of the line in field allowing wigan the opportunity to put the ball through quick hands and fall over the line - what sherwin should of done is let his inside man talke the man with ball and all he can be expected to do is take care of what is on his outside. i wouldn't expect him to tackle karl pryc eeverytime but atleast he'd of been trying to tackle him 10 yrd out from the line and not 2yrds as was the case friday night by the time covering tackle got over to try and cover shifty.

shifty is quality going forward but very very very suspect in defence!!!

As you will be aware mate, I was his biggest fan last year, And had to make a point to a fan yesterday who said he was lazy, That he created our first 2 tries, Then went on to create another i think

He is still a class act, Hopefully he doesnt stand out as much year as hopefully we have a better quality player around him

As illustrated by us targeting Tim Smith so successfully.

I thought Tim Smiths effort on Ferres, and that of the other Wigan players in the area at the time, was wonderful.
