The last I heard they were working with Camberwell (social enterprise agency) to secure funding. This suggests that the company had no money initially and we're working on gathering the required funding. As i recall some fans were stating an investment of around 5 million pounds to the stadium development- with the inclusion of the facility next to/built into 1 of the main stands if I recall correctly.
Raising the funds through a social enterprise agency would be very difficult to say the least. But not impossible if funding was earmarked before the financial downturn.
Well at least the project has big time backers and not the brain child of a cabbie and his sparky mate.... oh wait.

I don't know, obviously, because I get information from the people involved when it's made public, and will only believe these things are happening when concrete is poured.
Now stop trying to read stuff into nothing in a pathetic attempt to reassure yourself that Wakey are ahead in some sort of race against Cas. You've already claimed Cas don't even have outline planning permission in a bizarre attempt at reassurance, why not concentrate on Wakey's plans and getting yourself a new stadium to watch SL in rather than concentrating on the plans of Cas?
Who knows, if Wakey had spent more time getting a stadium built than having cheap digs at Cas, maybe you'd be there already...
I want Wakey to get a stadium because I think all professional clubs should be playing in a safe, comfortable environment for fans, and I don't want any club to be relegated when they're in a great position to create a great club who local lads can play for at the highest level of the game. Unfortunately people like you, and the Wakey board, and other trolls that constantly come on here making up stuff from a knowledge base of nothing are doing their best to turn Cas fans, and fans of RL in general, off from their goodwill towards the club. We all want the best for the game, so embrace that goodwill and focus on getting yourself a ground, rather than try and belittle the efforts of others.

Your outline planning permission wasn't put in place until a few weeks ago re;article 106- so thats 1 of your points go to dust.
I never claimed we are ahead (yet) but come September when we get the nod for the outline bid the full bid will go in straight away, i believe your aiming for a Sept submission too. So on that basis the race will be tied and it will come down to funding. If the money is in place it will be built, if it's not it won't. Simples.
I hope you lot have some good fundraising ideas because your gonna need them! FWIW I am an reader of your other forum too and according to "Gloria" (who is very well connected by all accounts) the 2M land deal is all you have.
But I forgot this is the "happy forum". No need for facts here eh!
Facts that are facts, yes. Wakefield fans with an idiosyncratic hatred of other clubs and a bizarre need for reassurance that the projects of those clubs aren't going ahead simply making things up from 'bloke on forum' or 'bloke from pub' or 'bloke in my head' no.
It's very simple to claim to be well connected: I am best mates with Ted Richardson and Richard Wright, I know they're coming together to form a franchise club playing out of Barnsley as the South Yorkshire Trinity WildTigers, but they don't want to announce it until they've ratified it all with the RFL.
Simple solution: concentrate on Wakefield. Cas fans can concentrate on Cas. We can take the facts that are publicly available, rather than publishing hearsay. How's that?

Yeah but isn't that poster a shareholder in CTRLFC? Yes i do "hate" Cas, and i wouldn't say its just Trin fans who have "idiosyncratic hatred of other clubs", our clubs/fans feed from this. Why should i concentrate on Wakefield? That is my paramount interest but I have become very interested in some of the issues involved with stadium planning and development and keep a keen eye on both developments.- Both have problems but both can be resolved.
I still however stand by the prediction that WTW and CT will be playing out of The Wakefield Community Trust Stadium in 2012. If the funding isn't there then a contract with the developers means sweet FA.
Fair dues, stand by your prediction. Trying to belittle other projects won't make them come true and unfortunately you're going to have to hold it in for at least another year before you're able to wet your pants.
I have no idea who 'Gloria' is, and frankly don't care. There are lots of minor shareholders in Cas, and they're not privy to all goings on in the organisation. A lot of companies give employees share options, do you think that gives them access to discussions in the board room? Of course not, and I doubt that's any difference at Cas or Wakey.
As for why you should concentrate on Wakey. You don't have to, I'm just guessing by your urgency to cream your pants over a Cas failure you'll do yourself mental and physical harm by caring so much and concocting trails of conspiracy theories in the run up to something actually happening.
Take this advice: be interested in how stadiums are built, issues regarding planning, design and whatever else, and be an interested onlooker. Take your information from published facts from official sources and add two and two together to make four. That way you'll learn more about the issues. And if you need information that isn't available online, go to the holders of that information rather than posting on a messageboard where nobody knows any more than you do in some attempt to stir up further conspiracy theories and misinformation.
Don't listen to a thing "Gloria" says it's just a petty minor shareholder who hates RW and is doing everything he can to get him out of the club, it's pathetic in all honesty.
Thing is, when xscape/freeport (junction32 outlet) got built with all the factories etc - the locals were promised a huge park with fishing lakes, water sports and lots more. Although some have taken jobs from it, what about the rest of us who have had to put up with a stupid amount of traffic ever since?
Also, what more has been done regarding the new swimming baths/surfworld place that's to be built up there?
All these things being built, lots of taxes for WMDC and what are we getting back?
You think that part of the xscape development included factories?
