I was stood next to the incident and would class myself as a relatively unbiased individual! The incident occurred when a middle aged coward from Hull threw his pint at a teenage Cas fan next to the railings. Owen became aware of this and was in my opinion sticking up for the lad. The plastic holder did end up on the pitch and unfortunately as soon as the the stewards arrived the coward had done one. For what it's worth I and several other Hull fans apologised to the Cas teenage who was totally blameless.
Thanks for the details. I was in the away end behind the sticks with the Hull fans but didn't quite make out what had happened from where I was. I did later hear something along those lines, so reading your description of events, I'm sure that is actually what happened.
I don't see why many Hull fans are being so defensive. Real RL fans of every team know what's what in our game and of course it isn't everyone who causes trouble just a mindless few and I'd say all teams have a few planks. Most of the time us Cas fans are a bit touchy with these incidents because we feel hard done by as we were recently fined a couple of times yet have clearly witnessed or been part of similar events that have gone unpunished.
I won't get involved in the bitchfest but just hope anyone who saw anything can report it to the club to help rid the game of our sports mindless few.
