I want to say, just to put the record straight in this spate of sightings and linked to players:
I was with an "un named" Cas player and I was having an in depth chat with Richard Wright about players and recruitment - we laughed a lot and we are indeed on first name terms. I have also spoken in passing a few times to Ian Milward...... But I can allay all your fears that I am not being tempted away from IT management by the lure of untold riches in a playing comeback, after my original career was denied me by a cruel lack of talent, so Dave "nosey" Parker, give this rumour a miss, even if they offer my Mrs a job in the shop and start a FaceBook pettition page, it is still a no.

(Well, it's about as credible as most of the tosh around rumours and signings at this time of year)

If I was a flair player like Chase i'd be made up if Basil came to my club, trust me, as a Leigh fan, Rangi will get better under Basil. From players like Long, Martyn and Scully at Saints to Ridyard, Higham and Murray at Leigh he always lets creative players use their talent and doesn't coach it out of them.
