Hmm didnt see that before today

Congratulations... not that it was ever in any doubt BTW!

So the Opus funding/purchase will be reliant on them getting outline planning for a superstore development on WR, then you can have the fund to start on GH (if indeed that is still the longer term plan!!).

So, yes, and Outline application will now be required for WR to free up the funding/purchase for the GH build to start.

So, still a journey to be made yet guys but would hope that getting outline on WR for a superstore development could be as early as the end of this year. To be fair, this is what the club think as well, given they said start on GH would be early in 2012.

Are we waiting for full planning approval or just approval for the current land to be used for a supermarket?

Opus (and the club?) just now need outline permission for a superstore development on WR and they will go for reserved matters later, exactly as happened with this GH application.

Once outline is granted it would appear Opus will fund or purchase the WR site to finance the building of GH.

Outline on WR could potentially be done and dusted by the end of this year... but, of course, nothing is certain!

As my mate bigalf would say - get those superstore plans in Righty!
