I'd like to see RW give a quick 5 minute update over the tannoy at each home game, or perhaps the first game of each calendar month (not that have many remaining!). In which he should clearly state the current status of the project, the key stages to be achieved and the dates by which these need to be achieved.
Not everbody has access to the internet and not everybody can 'log on' for his blogs, and his blogs which themselves are too few and far between. By announcing these matters before the game, he has the right audience in attendance, as it is the fans who need to know what is, or isn't happening (just be honest with us). His updates can then be reported on his blog and in the press etc.
The longer this drags on, the more scepticle we all become. As time and deadlines are passing us by we all increasingly doubt if it will be done in time, how it will be done and perhaps 'if' it will ever be done.
If it is that we will share with Wakey, so be it! Just the ground....but with two separate team identities.
I appeal if anyone on the forum has access to members of the board, or representatives of the supporters club please propose this on behalf of the fans.
If RW is not willing to do this, then we again have to ask the reason why???.....in which case it does nothing improve our trust of the guy, in securing our superleague future!!
Certainly, would have the best transport links of any rl stadium in the country, with all the nearby entertainment it will be the biggest draw for families and it already had thousands of free car parking spaces.
Traffic will be a nightmare and will cripple several large businesses on potentially their busiest day. I'm not sure if companies like Xscape, Area 51 shopping village and B&Q etc back the plans but hypothetically speaking if both clubs aren't moving fast enough for a franchise then ignoring a (possibly temp as well) ground share which would secure SL spots is a no-brainer.
Would you settle for a ground share on the border of Wakey and Cas? Im beggining to sway that way we need to cut our pride and give it a go else we are both out! I am sure if the Milan giants can share we can! We are both going to be out end of. Forget Fetherstone they are a National League club and just a small town. Im not a fan who totally hates Cas I find great excitement when we play you and Cas away is certainly a match I look out for more than any other fixture Salford/Quins at home its just boring and would be sad to see you go. We need to stay in SL together build a ground on the border with bars/good facilities and share it. Common sense needs to prevail time is getting on and we are both going to be out on our ear if we don't get this sorted.
Forget the small national league club that is Featherstone you say, well for a small club we have won the major honours as you have and always compared favourably with crowds when in the same division, , also to say we havent had 10/12 million pounds sky money you have our ground blinds yours and its ours. Well heres my prediction for 3 years down the line, Wakey kicked out of super league and as they have no ground go bust, restart again in NL1, have to rent the 5 million refurbished post office road, and play in front of less than 1k and Rovers benefit from rent and bar takings. Im telling you that is your future so forget about us now and come begging in a few years

Or just buy a programme - he often gives titbits of information in there? Why don't you email him?

Not really because there's going to be a road that links up to the new link road at the bottom of Cutsyke, so traffic can be alleviated two ways. As for Xscape/J32 not backing it, I'm pretty sure they would. Not only would it stimulate the number of people drinking/visiting in these places, the fact they get such custom will surely drive up rental prices for shops/spaces in there thus improving their own profitability.
Incidentally, Waystone have recently got outline planning permission for housing on the land behind Flass Lane in Cutsyke too.
Well heres my prediction for 3 years down the line, Wakey kicked out of super league and
Why 3 years? Why not next year?
As for your last retort, I sincerely hope that does not come to pass. Super League needs both Wakefield and Castleford in strong stadia, producing good young talent and becoming stronger financial entities. If Featherstone continue their progression, there's no reason why all three couldn't be Super League outfits in the future.

I notice he hasn't written a blog for a long while...

Why would it be? theres going to be two ways to get to glasshoughton with the new cutsyke road, most cas fans (who make up the majority of the crowd) can walk or do a short hop in a taxi, some fans will arrive by train and because theres more to do than any other rl ground many people will arrive earlier so the influx of people will be staggered.
What businesses will be crippled and why would sunday be there busiest day?
If you want to temporarily groundshare at glasshoughton thats upto you.
"Castleford's biggest home crowd of the 1991-1992 season wasn't quite 12,000 while on average they'd sit around 6000 but the noise, the chanting and the singing just blows you away" - Tawera Nikau "Standing Tall"
"I can tell you the atmosphere was extraordinary at Wheldon Road on big days. The ground held around 15,000 people, every one of them close to the action on the field and the noise would be enough to send a rumble through the town" - Malcolm Reilly "Reilly - A Life in Rugby League"

You obviously have no idea of the plans for Glasshougton. Take some time to look at them before you make yourself look as silly as NGB4C
