What's this about only 2 stands ?

Has something been revealed, like bad news.

George Bush says 'we are losing the war on drugs'. Well you know what that implies? There's a war going on, and people on drugs are winning it! Well what does that tell you about drugs? Some smart, creative motherfookers on that side."

I have always tried to reserve judgement a bit on RW. I must admit I have never really been a fan, but I always thought if the man can deliver us a new stadium then he must be worth his salt. It would appear the man has delivered us nothing but lies and broken promises. Two relegations, next years team will be even better, followed by the "consolidation" statement. Which is one of the worst statements I have ever read. I am in charge of ten people at work, I wonder how long I would have a job if I stood in front of the lads and said " We did good last year lads, infact you did better than you actually are. So this year it is fine if you want to be mediocre. As a result I have set this years target lower than last years."
The man has lost the plot ( I must ask if he ever had it ), he is taking £80k pa out of the club and bumbling along like a bald idiot with a bad tash. Its time you went Mr Wright, then we can get someone in who is prepared to take the club FORWARD!

The saying 'bent as a 9 bob note' has now been dropped.....corrected phrase is 'bent as the RFL!'

Re: Latest stadium up date : Thu Jan 21, 2010 11:33 am
Sorry but, I've got very little faith in RW. Many other clubs warned us when he became involved in the club and there is a lot to suggest they were right.

He's always awaiting a major announcement, which in the end turns out to be waffle that he later contradicts.

We all knew that the sale of the old ground to developers was in trouble and that the buyers were pulling out back in late 2007 early 2008. RW however gave us words to the effect of that although this was a set back, we had alternative stage managed plans, and the show would go on.......Hence, all of this isn't new at all! It's recycling what we already knew.

For what RW has been paid over the last 3,4 or 5 years....and we are still at this stage...we'd have been better off investing his wages in correcting some issues at the Jungle. At a rumoured £80K a year over 3, 4 or 5 years, we could have got a lot done at the jungle!! :BEAT:

We should have looked into a new stadium years ago.

We did look at it quite a few years ago, but the club were intent on moving to a new stadium at Whitwood and tried to form a partnership with Castleford RUFC, but unfortunately the plan they put together was flawed. A good friend of mine who was a councilor, had the foresight to see the bigger picture and what Xscape and the old pit site would become and urged the club to move the project to Glasshoughton, but unfortunately, they didn't want to know, pressing ahead with Whitwood, otherwise I'm sure the stadium would have been built by now and we would be currently playing in it.

I think the best part about this is that is SHOULD force the club into making a statement to spin the bad news around into good news, hopefully that means clarification on the appointment of an architect. I won't hold my breath though

Indeed I shouldn't, two days and not a squeak on the website, very poor PR from the club. To release a statement now, well after the damage is done, would only stink of lies.

That is unless they were mixing concrete...
