Got to agree with a lot of that 1+1. I am of the opinion that too many cas fans on here are happy to accept the odd wins against the so called top teams
while we're losing to sh*te clubs that shouldn't be in our league. I listen to comments on here like the top players aren't interested in signing for teams like Cas
It really does stick in my throat hearing stuff like that. If, (and I believe its a very big if), we do start
challenging for honours again, I for one, will still have the odd question about tactics, players out of position, etc etc.
And of course if this is done in a new stadium with a team full of british talent, i'll be delighted, and give a big thumbs up to RW and the coach-whoever it may be
It's attitudes like this within the 'whinging brigade' , that give the 'rose tinted brigade' plenty of ammunition to fire.
One off statements with no substance or reasoning to them. Why should Castleford have a right to beat any other team in Super League ? Do we have a better coach than them ? Do we have better players ? Do we have more fans ? I will be very interested to hear your comments.
As for challenging for honours, can you also remind me the last time we were challenging to win the league please ? We can throw in a few Challenge Cup finals and Regal Trophies, but I must have slept through the years when we went through a period of time when we had a team that were consistently 'challenging for honours'.
I think there's a misconception that the 'RTB' brigade accept mediocrity. We would love to win every week. But only St Helens supporters have this 'right' .I think the difference between the two types of fans we have, is that the 'RTB' s can see the big picture and are far more realistic. We can remember what our expectations were a mere 5 / 6 months ago.
There's nothing wrong with criticism, as long as its constructive. From what I read on here, the 'rose tinted brigade' are far more adept at discussing an issue, rather than becoming defensive and claiming that it's 'supposed to be a forum' and claiming they can't have their say.
