I have read all this thread and some peeps have been great reading. Now the last couple of page's have gone on funding,where is the cash coming from so on and so on. All i will say on that matter is think back to half time of Wakey match and the words Cas and legend

Can any Cas fan or club official please clarify the present situation regarding the stadium(s) situation? Living far outside the heartlands, the only information I can get is from Ceefax and Sky Sports Teletxt; other than websites. Castleford and Wakefield statements appear to contradict each other. They cannot both be correct. I know nothing about the Newmarket site, but I do know that there is (or will be) a railway station and an existing complex at Glasshaughton, which is close to the motorway. As I travel to Castlefoed by train, that sounds good, but what is the situation at Newmarket? Hope someone can clarify the situation. Thanks in advance.

There is no train station at Newmarket, nor buses AFAIK. But that will only be a problem for Wakey.

Wakey have said they're pushing ahead with Newmarket. Cas have said we're pushing ahead with Glasshoughton. No contradiction that I can see.

Coming by train as well, if Wakey ever do build Newmarket, it just means I won't be going to derbies at their place

To clarify:

Wakefield have no outline planning permission but have submitted it and awaiting to hear back regarding that in September, according to their forum. They are building on greenland and there are issues regarding whether it will actually get through in time and also whether it will be built in time for the licensing.

The current position of Cas is that we have Outline Planning Permission which expires in November although Full PP should be submitted before then. Full stadium designs are expected to be shown before the Leeds game, as announced in our most recent statement.
