I made an awful hash of the Huddersfield score last week, predicting a relatively low-scoring affair.

Huddersfield's defence was poor, and attack not much better. I expect them to have concentrated more on defence this week as they'll know that our attack is our current strength.

That said, their injury problems could provide a boost and inexperience could play a little part.

25-18 to Cas.

hudds will still be a tough nut to crack despite their injuries,i have a feeling tm will have us really fired up for this and so long has we dont try to play to much rugby and stick to the game plan i think we should win by a couple of scores.

i am not sure that is true considering how much possession we gave them in our own half we did well to keep them to 4 tries so defence must have been ok.

If we can control the ruck and keep hudson quiet we have a good chance.

My only concern is what pack we will put out due to injuries. We have probably 5 first teamers out and 3 of those are pivotal to our team and hard to replace Crabtree, Griffin, Raleigh.

It will be close game even if you win i would say no more than 8 points in it.

I'm not too sure if it is because of the ease they dispatched up with in pre-season, but I can't see us getting four on the bounce for some reason, or at least, I don't expect us to. In saying that, you can't really read into friendlies too much, and I suppose we can argue we will have Brent Sherwin, Sione Faumuina and James Evans all in the side which we didn't last time we met, and these three players have been quite important for us since they returned.
I feel it is imperative for the forwards to get on top and stop Brown and Robinson playing, as these two usually seem to have a field day against Cas! We need to watch Brett Hodgson too, he oozes class and acts like a third pivot. We also have to keep tabs on Scott Moore, who I felt was rather dissapointing with last season- he seems to have stepped it up 2 or 3 gears and looks a very good player now.
I think Huddersfield are a good team and have the ability to rack up points if we let them as we did in pre-season, but either way, it will be a good bench mark to see how far we have come so far this season.
Hopefully the Giants will travel in numbers and it will be a good atmosphere and maybe even a good result for Cas...
I hope he's on the park for a reasonable period – judging by his record at the Jungle last year, he'll give the ball way to us in attack, and give penalties away to us in defence
It can only be to our advantage if korki plays! I just hope huby and co show him how its done!

No not that one error by that player, the constant glaring school boy errors and giving away of penalties by another player (you know the one who has this weirdo love child that is a wakey fan but attends every cas home match sticking up for him, even though he was the worst prop in sl).
