George Bush says 'we are losing the war on drugs'. Well you know what that implies? There's a war going on, and people on drugs are winning it! Well what does that tell you about drugs? Some smart, creative motherfookers on that side."
-edit- It has now. Thanks mods. -edit- One swallow does not make a Summer. It doesn't even make a drink. I don't think we should be over-hyping unproven young players. Tell me, will he ever be as good as the great Mal Reilly?
We can only say if he's good or not when he's won the World Cup Final single-handedly.
Bah! Humbug!
Thats true, but birds like that are worth holding on to!
Nobody ever said he wasnt a talent, The thing is Joe has Class, Pure skill
I remember playing against Dale as a youth and he has progressed well, But he will never be a superstar, He will be very solid, Runs and Tackles hard but not got that x factor joe has, IMO
Just thought I'd stir the pot again
Ferguson against HKR scored a try (two the week before), made a try and managed 63 tackles during the match. This kid has got the X FACTOR as you put it even Simon Cowell wouldn't argue that.
Maybe you need to accept that there may well be two golden balls on the block and Fergy may well keep Joey on his toes. Boy I feel vindicated...and my next tip for the top is

Finally Vasty accepts that Joe is in his own words "golden balls"!! It' only taken 2 years or so. Congratulations Vasty that must have been tough!
Oh and also, your choice of word vindication is especially ironic as it's Cas fans who feel vindicated now you're on the Weserman band wagon!!

Don't be over-hyping him now, Vastman, after all it's the very thing you've accused Cas fans of doing regarding Westerman for the last 2 years.

The irony is that you don't get the irony.
I never said Westerman was up to the ludicrous hype on here or through the game in general. Like Fergy that is yet to be seen.
Golden balls is a derogatory term aimed at over hyped youngsters in general by the way. I'm clearly pointing out how over hyped Westerman was and still is yet Ferguson wasn't and still isn't. This despite the fact that both have similar honours and now one is fit he is matching the other play for play. I'm just pointing out the stats to Mr Detor who claims one has the X Factor and the other doesn't to which I disagree.
I'm doing my own one man hype job on the theory that if you say it often enough people will believe it, something Cas and their fans are past masters.
Anyway I wouldn't worry Westy is yesterdays news, Tom Briscoe and the young lad at Wigan who's name escapes me (but sadly not for long I suspect) are the new must have kids.

Well you do have a lot of credibility and I'm sure people will respond positively to your drum banging on behalf of Dale's abilities and potential.
Cas fans are pretty vociferous but I'm not sure they are influential enough to make him captain of England schoolboys, ensure he gets the NL1 young player of they year award, Super League young player of the year award, push his case for inclusion in the world cup training squad in his first season in Super League, ensure his playing statistics for 2008 were as good as many seasoned SL players with international honours and put words of praise in to the mouths of respected figures in the game like Phil Clarke, John Kear and Tony Smith as well as ubiquitous fans from clubs he's competed against and shown his obvious ability.
The fact is you're more obsessed and concerned about Westerman that the majority of Cas fans are, personally I'm more excited about 18yo Richard Owen, the lad is still growing and learning, but showing immense potential and ability.

westerman- england school boys captain, nl1 young player of the year, sl young player of the year, called up for the england sqaud, rated by an independant source as the 3rd best teenager in the world, nl1 grand final winners medal, 53 first team games (29 in sl), 24 tries (14 in sl) and 40 goals.

Absolutely! Four tries in four games, plus one disallowed dubiously, plus a phenomenal scoring record at the end of last season (8 in 5 if I remember correctly), Richie will be pushing for honours himself before too long if he maintains his form.
