I feel the same way - the blind loyalty from some Cas fans towards a player who quite clearly hasn't cut it at international level is a bit baffling.
Wow its all Rangis fault, Get over yourself who do you think you are. he didnt have a great game no simply because the Oz pack dominated the game and allowed Thurston to run it, simple
But lets not stop that fact stop you Rangi bashing you truely are a k@ob in your own self rightious world, crawl back to your board and suck up to AG because soon you will be better than Wire (Ha Ha)

Very contibutive, no really your intellect is astounding.
Chase has been fantastic for Cas, a worthy recipient of his awards but found out at international level because he's not good enough.

Gosh, that's not at all like you; either your 13 year old daughter has hijacked your account, or you're taking this Chase business very personally indeed.
The fact remains - all the backs were dire and Rangi (whom this thread is about) was especially so; if it makes you feel better, so were Sinfield, Briscoe, Yeaman and Tomkins.
Without your club specs on, you must accept that Rangi is a great SL player but doesn't have the right skillset or attitude to play at international level? The Kiwi's obviously realised that and now we know why.

It was a fine romance, but now it's over!
Let's face it, you're even more obsessed with Chase than you'd like to admit, as you're STILL coming on here spouting off. Maybe you just ought to go and have a nice lie down and relieve your obsession some other way.

I agree 100% with that. I hate the fact he his playing for England when he's clearly not English, but putting that to one side, although he is genuinely one of the top half backs in Super League, if he was world class he would be playing regularly in the NRL. Who knows, maybe if that was the case he would have been lining up for Australia last night.

1. He is not English but clearly eligible to play. Get over it, other sports have been doing the same for years, as have the Australian RL team. 2. Not all world class players play in the NRL you know - there are plenty of players who choose to play in SL but could easily play in the NRL if they wanted to. In Rangi's case I think it's more to do with the more positive lifestyle he leads over here (and the fact that any minor incident might get him locked up in Australia). 3. You don't like Chase playing for England, but suggest he could have been selected by Australia? Technically he could have been, but I'd suggest he's got a long way to go before he is better than Lockyer.

No, I won't get over it. I don't care how what other sports do, or even what the Australians do, it doesn't make it right. I don't want mercenaries representing my country.

Out of interest, what do you think makes someone English?
