| Quote tttiger="tttiger"the only way either club will have new stadium will be a shared one. Anyone and everyone knows cas & wakey both have no money to put towards their stadium "plans". time for both clubs to come clean , as both are making themselves a laughing stock , living in hope that the other fails to make them look more credible ......pathetic'"
What a truly clueless comment from a truly clueless poster.
You're right about one thing though Wakefield have no money to put towards any stadium and if you were not so pig ignorrant you'd actually know how and why that isn't an issue.

Just over £6m has been returned already and the total is expected to be close to £9m. This is the money WMDC are willing to use to invest in both clubs (£2m each) in return for suitable community use facilities.

| Quote vastman="vastman"And you know that how?
I don't pretend to know Castleford's situation but having read my latest update e-mail from Sir Rodney Walker he doesn't share your scepticism.
No offence Dave but I'll take my cues from him as somehow I feel he may be better informed than you.
Remember some of us who post on here are not guessing
'"
you know me mucker, I just take things as I see them, I'm not informed particularly well at all.
I hope you're not guessing. I also hope the person that keeps you informed isn't either...
Taht being said, I stll maintain that this is a massive project for the area, and to assume it is all but done and dusted would be foolish. A proect that is 3/4 years away doesn't mean a great deal to me, as someone who is uninformed.............. I will be following you into the stadium once its opened anyway, and at that point I shall commend your knowledge of the situation

Considering some in central government want to remove the protection of the budgets for the health service, this is a vain hope (as much as I agree with you).

do you go around with your eyes + ears closed ! here are the FACTS .
Both clubs have been on about new stadiums for years - both clubs have created the illusion at one time or another that they have land/backing/developers to build them.
This has been going on for ages - No new stadiums are built , unless my ignorance has made me drive past Newmarket/glasshouton without noticing.
Heres the next fact - Both cas + wakey will ,at best be in the second tier of rugby league(this will probably be as part of the 2 tier SL ,10 teams in each) in the next 4 years unless they have a new ground ...............neither will have their own new ground.
Wake up and smell the coffee

No I don't but you clearly do. FACTS are real not things you make up in your head and post on here as FACTS.
I'd explain to you the real FACTS in full but I won't because they are common knowledge and been available for years and you would know them if you were serious and not a troll.
However in a vain attempt to educate - why would you expect to drive past NM and see something being built when final planning permission is yet to be granted. The stadium is scheduled for 2015 so why would any intelligent person expect it to be their in 2013 for christ sake. This is all within the agreed timescale agreed with the developer, it's not rocket science or some conspiracy it's standard procedure end of. NM was identified as a potential site in 2009 so it will be 6 years to final built which is pretty standard. All developments take this long or longer including all the recent RL stadiums.
Now you carry on in your bitter fantasy world whilst the rest of us carry on trying to create a future for our respective clubs based on FACTS.

Pretty standard .......saints 2&half years ........Salford 3 years start to finish
Wakey - identified in 2009 .....almost 4 years on & still no full planning - no detail on stadium size & or feasibility ! FACT
if wakey got full planning in the next 3- months (which they wont) that would leave less than 18 months for everything from design , feasibility , highways , earthworks ,drawing down the funding(?) to put in place.
I saw a post above were some said something like , "diggers will be moving" ha ha been there done that ....got the hard hat !!!
Your dreaming , you'll be out of the top tier of Rugby league before any stadium come appears FACT
RFL have heard all the false promises from BOTH clubs for too long.
This by the way is the opposite to fantasy , as the same will apply to cas which is my team.
Like I said , time for both clubs to get real and look into a shared ground BEFORE its too late.
Look forward to seeing you in 2015 in a new ground paid for by brass tacks , operated by a company that has only just began trading after admin, that has barely any assets and around 1/3rd of the people following it needed to breakeven in such a facility.
Sorry & all that x
