We should realise the SL game has changed recently. Without a major benefactor there is simply no place for us at the top table. In a couple of years superleague will be run by 12 or 14 wealthy people. Men like Pearson, Moran, Davey, Hetherington and Lenaghan. Unfortunately thats the way the game is heading and if we want to be part of it we must accept this.
Cas Tigers as a club are still been held back by various forces. Fans are staying away not just because of a poor season on the field but because of disallusionment with the BOD and more inportantly fans cannot see any direction for our club.
Its time for change and we could go down one of 2 routes. Firstly we can accept major investment as I have described above or we could put the onus squarely with the fans. I have a feeling that Tuesday's meeting with the fans will indicate the latter and not the former and this route will only see us keep our heads above water a little longer.
