Will the Bulls plight and the sudden availability of several realistic/quality targets to anyone with cap space affect our BODs view of the Chase situation?
YEah, get rind of Chase and use the money on Kearney, Gale, Addy & Elima

Cant say i agree (especially considering no one knows what his suspension is about) we need players like chase (and clark) if we are ever going to progress as a club.
As for the players you mentioned i don't rate kearney defensively, though he is good going forward, gale would be welcome as he is a good young english half back, addy has some potential and would be cheapish so once again i would take him, elima is a beast and a player would should defiantly be in for.
Chase is appearing to be more hassle than he is worth. He seems to have already forgotten that Cas took him from his crappy life in Australia and put him on the RL map. I think things are looking good for 2013 with or without Rangi Chase. I'd be more than happy to see a starting back line in 2013 of Kearney, Owen, Shenton, M. Gleeson, Webster, Gale & Ellis

I think martin gleeson definatly comes under the heading of more hassle than he's worth personally and wouldn't have him anywhere near the team even if he is still up to it after so long out of the game (and at his age thats a very big if), i wouldnt want two inexperienced half backs as first choice either (we have very little experience in the side as it is (and with it looking like losing orr, youngy, hudson, jacko, jones and possibly snitch that's a problem that's going to get worse) especially when neither of them will ever be as good as chase. Webster would be wasted on the wing. as I've said i don't rate kearney apart from going forward so i don't think we would be much better off. I would rather give owen till the end of the season to settle into the role before making any decisions, (if milward hasn't driven him off by then). Going a little off topic can any one remember the last cas fullback that the fans liked playing there? owen, mathers, mcgoldrick, dorn, platt and rudder all got a lot of stick from fans when playing fullback. Last one that i can remember that was liked by the fans was donlan and he didn't play there that often iirc. The curse of the Castleford fullback shirt?
"Castleford's biggest home crowd of the 1991-1992 season wasn't quite 12,000 while on average they'd sit around 6000 but the noise, the chanting and the singing just blows you away" - Tawera Nikau "Standing Tall"
"I can tell you the atmosphere was extraordinary at Wheldon Road on big days. The ground held around 15,000 people, every one of them close to the action on the field and the noise would be enough to send a rumble through the town" - Malcolm Reilly "Reilly - A Life in Rugby League"

We can be bold enough to make a stand and do battle for our views and beliefs. But we must strive to be mature enough not to resort to unnecessary personal attacks upon people with opposing views.
I actually think there is a worse outcome - Wigan actually reconsider their position knowing S Wane as we do through the media that any single step out of line is unacceptable on and off the field.
So now we have a petulant player who has burned some bridges, but nowhere for them to go - It is difficult to manage and unless you want to be like Manchini and accept that players are more important than you as a manager and your rules count for nothing - as a head coach do you not accept anyone disrespecting the club and its badge and play them without another word and the damage that does to the squad.
Not easy - but sport is a very fickle suitor and a statement here, handshake there and a good performance and most sins are absolved - look at Rooney for England and Man U....
