I can seriously remember a game where he played for Cas along with the likes of Dom Brambani and Michael Knowles, it was a pre-season friendly I can remember him because his name was funny I thought

Honestly mate. Believe me - he has never played for Cas. You must be thinking of someone else.

At 16, Gareth Ellis was a 5' 6", 65kg half back. It was when Gareth was 18 that he and a few others from Lock Lane were recommended to Castleford and Stuart Raper (along with Graham Steadman) were not interested in any of them!!!
