I must have missed Michael Shenton being selected for England, Brett Ferres in the England squad mid-season, Joe Arundel, Jonathan Walker in England Knights this season, Joe Westerman being selected for England train-on squad, Adam Milner captaining the Academy to victory over Australia in Ashes.
I have no doubt that Milner, Clark and Craig Huby will also be up for rep honours in the future if they can get back fully fit (in CH's case) and continue their progression.

| Quote viking.gb="viking.gb"He has let himself down and his country of origin,And all the other superleague clubs who are told u must be bringing your youngsters through as part of the criteria for a licence. If his child was born here there would be no problem with his child playing in years to come, but for all the people who say this is ok because of some strange made up rule then you are wrong and know u are.So does this mean he has made his bed and now cant play for newzeland ? .I for 1 am glad us widnes havent signed him,I used to love watching him play but have now lost faith in him.'"
But it's not some made up rule.
In two years time, he would have been able to apply for British Citizenship and obtain a British passport. Then he could STILL play for England. That is nothing to do with sport in ANY WAY.
If Rangi Chase can walk into an England side, that suggests that either the players we have in that position are not as good or we don't have enough depth. I think it's a case of both at the moment. We can only strengthen ourselves. Would I have a problem if Michael Dobson wanted to play for England tomorrow? Nope, because it would mean that we have two quality scrum-halves - Dobson and Brough - in the future.

Didnt realise Castleford had thrown anyone in anywhere, i assume you must be refering to Cas in this statement as if you were refering to the RFL you would be directing your comment to them.
As for the fact we can't produce rep players, maybe you should look closer to home - i must admit i like young the look of young Taylor, and of course there's Liam Watts (though i suspect if Cas had woke up to Westy a bit sooner and Liam wasn't treated at the time as a potential problem to Joe - we may not have released him for you to sign, to enable him to achieve his potential under all your experienced overseas contingent)

| The Xenophobes are out in force I see, small minded, pathetic and jealous.
The best player in Super League can play for England but it's an outrage that he's keeping out players that are worse than he is

| It's not about being xenophobic though, he is a kiwi and i'm happy for anyone to come over and play club rugby, i'm happy for them to settle in this country but i'm not happy that a Kiwi plays for England because he's a kiwi.
Why people feel the need to bring out the race card i don't know, it's not relevant to my point anyway.

Xenophobia has nothing to do with race per se. It comes from the stems "phobia" which means innate fear/hatred and the word "xenos" which is Greek for "stranger or guest".
Therefore, it means the innate hatred of guests!

| He should be nowhere near the England team, because he's not English. It's not his fault the rules are so shambolic, but I have no respect for him at all for turning his back on his country. Heighington isn't English either, so shouldn't be anywhere near the side. I don't buy into the theory that his dad his English so he qualifies. He was born in Australia and brought up in Australia. I'd rather pick his dad.
