Why? he's a pretty good scrum half, home grown etc.

but hes not half the playerhe was when he left here which would taint my image of him the first time round!

I always thought he has been pretty good for quins, he had a bad time at wigan but that was more to them playing him wrong than him as a player.

Danny Orr is half the player Sherwin is. People probably won't accept that, but it's true...

We need a good young SH, someone who will last us for years, anothe chase type player would be nice

Unfortunatley young top notch scrum halfs, that are willing to sign for a team not challenging for trophies are as a rare as hens teeth and would cost money we cant afford. rangi was a gem of a find but unfortunatley those are quite rare.

Rangi chase was all down to adrian vowles.
Maybe adrian can keep a look out for another young half back over in oz.

sherwin is well past his best...even at the dogs his game was erratic and full of injury's towards the end.....dont forget he was playing behind a pack which included mason,o'meley,grimaldi,ryan and he still struggled at times.......... if a half-back cannot perform with them infront of you then he never will...

And Sonny Bill Williams.

I think it's pretty obvious we'll need to replace Sherwin at the end of this year due to his age and injuries (though nothing would surprise me). Therefore, it's perfectly reasonable to have a discussion on who might replace him as scrum-half. I'd love Brierly to come in and 'do a Tompkins' but we have to be realistic in that you'd be asking a teenager to take on a pivotal role in the team without any back-up, which is a gamble if you ask me.

I would like to see an experienced SH, along the lines of Brett Finch, who's remit would also be to mentor Brierley and bring him through for the future to link with Rangi. Easy to say, not easy to do though!!
