I'm disappointed we're losing the 2011 Man Of Steel. Only thick people would think losing him is a good thing.

| Good luck to him if he goes, we signed him as a unknown figure and hes worked wonders for us over the past couple of seasons & won many a game single handedly.
I can understand him wanting to move to a bigger club.

Sorry Towns but I do not regard myself as thick and I want Rangi gone for the simple fact that he is now a negative influence around the club. Should the deal to Hull not go through, Rangi's team mates, coaching staff and most importantly, the fans all know he does not want to be at Cas. Let him go ON OUR TERMS and lets all move on. Yes, he has done wonders for our club but no one man is bigger than the club. I have said before that his (RC) salary could pay for 3 good players which would give us a better squad overall. If we then use the reported £350,000 transfer fee to pay for another three or four players for the next two seasons. We would suddenly have 7 new players on top of Shenton, Webster, Ellis, Tansey and Gilmour to go with the players currently signed to us for 2013 and we are much stronger as a club. The (hopefully) higher league finish, play off run and a decent cup run would off set the extra money spent and enable to strengthen further for 2014. Would this not also entice fans back to the club to watch a club whose performing well, giving 100% and winning?

| 2014? So is next year a write off already too?
The thing is Frumper, we all know that we won't reinvest all the money into the squad, its the Cas way. It's demoralising that so many of our better players want out. It's demoralising that we can't sort it. Losing our best player is not a good thing.

| Ah I get your 2014 point now. You mention the players we've signed but not many of them I think are genuine quality. There's a few risk players there and you have to bare in mind, we're losing what 12 players? So most likely we'll start next season with a identical sized squad. However, we'll have 2 proper centres, which is 1 more then we had this season

Agreed, he's stayed longer than he had to and in so doing guarenteed us a financial return from his eventual (some would say inevitable) departure. For all we know he signed the contract extension on the strength of promises that have not been kept or potential developments which have not materialised. There has been no visible desire on the BODs part to fight tooth and nail to keep him and I wonder if his unrest has been long expected, accepted and even welcomed.
At the end of the day his talent deserves to be displayed on a bigger stage and he will have that, if not necessarily success, at Hull.

Isn't the transfer deadline 2pm, giving them another 2 hours to sort it?
