A fair few of both sets of fans are assuming a merger is inevitable . A fair few of those people are saying that they will stop attending games if they ain't played at the site of their choice .
A lot are saying that one team will eventually cease to exist .
Surely binks' idea is the way forward . If there is going to be a merge then there is going to be a merge . Accept it , and support the new team(s) .
It will surely happen at some point anyway , and somebody is going to grieve over the loss of their team . Maybe not the current generation of supporters , but maybe the next .
I am sure many of you have followed your team for lots of years through good times and bad . Hold those memories and cherish them , but please consider the next generation of fans . Take the hurt now and spare your kids the heartbreak of going through what is looking inevitable . Kind of like letting a dog bite you than bite your child if you see what I am meaning .
Good luck for the future however it turns out . I hope both teams pull through .
I do rather feel that it is bullet-biting time for you though .
