I think Pyeman unless you have knowledge of the personal demande of a player you are not quite on the mark, i heard he want to play more first grade rugby, not exactly demanding anything but a chance, lets face it hes another player who didnt get the chances he probably should have from a team so keen and eager to develop its young players. its a matter of opinion whether people considered Ryan Boyle or Liam Higgins the better player, ive heard Ryan had some discipline problems which led to his near expulsion from the team by the coach, seemingly another player he was either unable or unwilling to manage, instead tuck them away and give em little chance Korkidas like, when Ryan did get a chance he never let the team down, i spoke to him a few times on face book and the lad was gutted he didnt get many chances, and when he did he was as giddy as a kipper. so we loose a lad who came through the ranks a kid who not just me but many wanted to stay to be replaced by a kid who nprobably is no better. maybe the fact he will get a wage and be a bit player is attractive to him......

I also wanted boyle to stay but the club offered him a new contract and he turned it down, what more can they do?. Of course he was itching to play all young players are the same, and at the end of the day he played 11 times last season, something that alot of 21 year old props would have been happy with at other clubs. you say he never had a chance but he has made 58 appearances for the club, once again many young props at other clubs would haven been over the moon with that many games. sam burgess and ryan both made there debuts in 2006 (burgess earlier on in the season) burgess made 80 appearances for bradford ryan made 58 for cas in the same time period, and burgess only really had to compete with lynch in the pecking order for most of that time, boyle has had, sarge, huby, nutley in front of him. theres not that much differance in 22 games in 3 years (especially when you consider the bulls have had more games with better cup runs and the playoff (as well us having a much shorter season in nl1).

Burgess was out injured for a long spell so that isn't a fair comparison. Lets not forget the division which a lot of Ryans appearances came in. If Boyle had been given more game time in the top flight, which in my view, he deserved, then we would not be having the discussion about needing another prop.

Compairing Ryan to Sam is soooooooooooooo way off the mark. a local lad with the ability to have a great forward career who needed game time to develop, against one of the most highly rated players in the league today someone so good he's going to australia to ply his trade with the best.

As i recall burgess only mised about 7 games, as his injury came near the end of the season, and boyle has had injuries too, just no long term ones. Whats more as i've already said with with us being in nl1 (with a shorter season) and having more playoff and cup games burgess would have had the opportunity to play in about 20 more games.

My point being his opportunity was given in the top flight, the kid did good.

Ryan was not given the opportunity in the top flight, end of.

If he had, we would not be having the conversation on here about signing more second rate props.

Why is 31 top flight appearances not a chance?alot of 21 year old props would love to say they had that much of a chance.

Certainly not....... i do not need to do that. bring the lad in can he be any worse than Ryan Boyle the home grown player that we have just got rid of   another management masterstroke, but im sure you can see reason behind getting rid of a young prop local lad to bring in erm another prop of the same sort of level......come on Bonzo explain the TM reasoning behind this strange situation...

Laners ive learned that it is site suicide to show any form of criticism at all concerning TM. but ive never been a conformist and certainly not a sheep

Interesting. I don't remember stating anywhere that I agreed with the decision to release Boyle. How am I supposed to explain the reasons for it? You'd be wise not to make assumptions about what people have said.

Criticise TM all you like. Just don't moan about getting owned by other board users because you're incapable of providing alternative solutions to the problem that it's your wish to create.

how has any board user owned me over TM....pmsl is that what the board is, a competition of some type of one up manship...jeez

In the post where do I state you do agree with the decision to release Boyle, who's making assumptions there !!!!!!. What i state is we have got rid of a perfectly good prop one who is young and willing and with the chances could have been a great servant to the club, and replaced him with a prop who probably is no better, what i ask is for you, as a TM supporter to give an explanation as to why you think he made the decision to release Boyle. thats it thats all nothing more so please dont twist my post to suit your own agenda.

owned back at ya!

Your comparison was against Burgess and his 80 starts in the top flight.

I'm not going through stats but I reckon there are probably quite a few young forwards with more than 31 top flight appearances over that time period. Maybe Huby and Lynch with us for starters?

Again, my main gripe is that we let the lad go and then I see talk on here about 2nd rate props joining us. If this happens then someone needs a brain transplant.
