Not obsessed but lets say... alarmed.
First I thought you would have lost the 2 points from playing Cas for cheating with the 14 players on the field.
Secondly, I thought Dr K would have been made to explain his comment on deliberatly going over the salaly cap limit.
Thirdly, I thought a club would have you banged-to-rights over tapping-up players for next year. dissapointed on that one as everyone seems to be rolling over like a dog for the Dr and letting him tickle their belly.
Anyway - good luck for Monday.
1. We were fined £10,000 that’s more than enough punishment me thinks, I think taking the 2 points would have been less severe, but ffs it was for 30 seconds in a meaningless bottom of the table super league game, it's not going to change anyone’s season, let it go!!!!!
2. He said he will find ways around the cap like other teams in the league do. The Dr came out and said the truth that’s what you don't like. The top teams all find ways around the cap, so if they can do it and are allowed to get away with it then why shouldn't Salford? The Dr made a good point at Mondays supporters trust meeting where he said something along the lines of "To make Super League an honest competition then the salary cap must be raised so everyone plays within the rules at the moment there are a number of clubs who find ways around the rules so if that’s what we need to do if we are to be competitive and keep up with them, then we will do whatever it takes".
3. Do you have any proof on point 3? We could have been given permission to speak with the players concerned, you’re just clutching at straws I'm afraid.
If the shoe was on the other foot and it was you club that had just been saved and now had the power to become a major force, started having all sorts of big names linked with you as well as constantly being in the press (something that Salford never has had is press coverage) then I'm sure you'd change your tune. You and many other Rugby League fans come across as bitter, jealous and dare I even say it a little afraid of what little old Salford could be about to do. Whether we do or not remains to be seen, but one things for certain this bloke will give it a damn good go!!!
