^ dodn't you think Millward had been unsuccessful for too long?
I would be more than happy if Stuart came back and did the exact same as Millward. Why? Cause I know his heart would be well and trully in it.
He's up there as one of the best coaches we've ever had, and win lose or draw I know the team would've been busting a gut all week to try get a result.

It can't have been.... You don't just beat Leeds as take wigan to the 80th minute on a fluke. If the players can hit that level one week then the same team should be able to hit that level (or at least come close) every week.
Different story when injuries hit, but as yet we haven't exactly been crippled by them.
The Leeds game the team played to the best of their ability - since then they haven't reached 25% of that in most games.
If the players don't try on a weekend, then what's the point turning up in the week to train?
It is, and has always been, a case of the harder you practise, the better you play in general. In any sport.
What the players are doing through the week is reflected on game day - and it just wasn't good enough.
