And so they should be, we have only played three games, & some one comes in for a player who wont get a work permit for a English club, bar the club he is at.

If he wants to bolster his squad he should be looking in the Championship for some one wanting another chance, if he wants a decent prop he could get Jackson, for a song, or maybe Jones, i dont thing even Cas would sell their best player, three games into a new season

We also have a very small squad. Even though some players like Mason, Emmitt and Fleming have'nt had much or no game time doesn't mean they are out of favour. I don't think we are in a position to let anyone leave at the moment.

More like making a statement of no-intent. They get to look ambitious in the knowledge they'll be knocked back and not actually have to splash the cash.

... or to put it another way, he's making sure that when Salford fail to grab a big name signing he can say "it's not my fault: look how hard I tried".
