He played a fair number of games for Widnes at the start of last season, so you could ask their views for a 'neutral' opinion.

I don't think pressure will be an issue, he is a very calm player, with a quick pair of hands. He is more than capable of leading a side around the pitch, but don't expect to see him ripping the defence apart with darting runs. His goal kicking is exceptional, I would rate him above Bret Hodgson.

Personally I think this is a win win situation for both clubs (and GOB of course).

He's no Rangi but certainly a capable Sl player - if we defend like we did on Sunday then we give ourselves a massive chance, whoever the standoff is.

With Ellis, Clark, Milner and Tansey we have enough creative quality - O'Brien can only add to that

great to have another half back at the club, it will do the young lad good to work with rangi during his spell with cas , im sure smith has considered this when loaning him out.
cant believe people are branding tansey as a creative player - we need to be careful about bulling him up ....hes average at best and will be on dual reg at keithley if we had Dixon in the backs !

if anything I'd be dual registering Dixon when he's fit to give him some game time

O'Briens been training with Cas Tigers since Tuesday. I fancy him for a starting place on Saturday against the Bulls.

One thing is for sure his place kicking is as good as both Hodgson and Sinfield.

I dont think it will mater who players on the weekend, i think we have Mr Ganson, so the other 34 people on the pitch wont mater as he thinks we all go to see him.

That tends to imply that you think that he has been wasting his time working alongside Briers?

Anyway, 'back in the room', he will do a good job for you guys and what a place kicker, doesn't miss many from anywhere on the pitch.
