Has anyone thought about looking beyond just the fixture itself?
We know we need cash and friendlies don't generally pull much money in, particularly with shared gates. It beats playing against like someone like York/Gateshead, no offence to them, down the lane with virtually nil support.
I'd rather have a local derby with at least a 3.5k-4k crowd that will bring in some cash for us. Along with the 10,000 (guaranteed so they say) from Bradford on Boxing Day, the programme should be focused on £ and attendances, as well as challenging warm-up games.
