Yeah - that was the one mentioned.

This wasn't posted to cause any trouble/ill-feeling. The source was highly reliable - intelligent guy / no interest in the sport (let alone any particular club).

And, for what it's worth, the player in question certainly lived up to these comments.

Considering the totally lacklustre start (no completions - 3 tries down in a matter of minutes), I'm just left wondering if we weren't "up" for this one.

Didnt realise it was an offence to eat a Burger King. wow what next, franchise scuppered, all payers to take a burger test before games.

As a fan living in Warrington I often see players of many teams at Birch and have on occassions chatted to em. When its piddling down an off the cuff comment about not fancying being in the rain is totally natural.

As for Burger King, Ive heard this before, often if players buy a coffee, they are accused of buying two whoppers! Pinch of salt.

The nature of our game and something that is wonderful, is that we stand side by side with players in the street and see that they are normal lads like us. If they want a burger, why not? Tony Adams was one of britains best ever defenders and had fish and chips and ten pint of guiness the night before games.

It probably is true, but the internation suggests its wrong and unprofessional - and I for one dont believe that any lad with a brain would disadvantage himself against the top team in the comp. Being normal? Yes, I fully expect every Cas player to be totally normal! Except maybe Nick Fozzard!!!!

Despite what you may think my motivations were for posting this, I maintain that this information seemed to explain much of what went on last Friday.

Certain recent games have suggested a slacking of mental toughness (Wakey, Leeds and Quins last 20mins), but this game from literally the first couple of minutes was at times shockingly poor.

This isn't about turning on the team as soon as the form dips, but after each of those 3 games mentioned above, I would have thought that fans had justification in expecting a much stronger performance the following week - hitherto this has yet to happen.

Perhaps, how they approach tomorrow's game will say a great deal about where we are and what we have.
