Lets firstly face up to how awesome Warrington were last night. The score line didn't flatter them...they were that good, and would have inflicted a defeat on any other current SL team. It's just the scale of defeat that would vary team to team. They are not top of the table with such points differences for no reason. So credit to them! Now what we need to do is look at ourselves and say what can we learn from the last 4 SL games. In my humble opinion, defence around the ruck, speed of playing the ball and runs from dummy half are areas where teams have exploited us over the past 4 SL games. Co-incidentally they are areas where we have not been quick enough, or sharp enough to get other teams on the back foot and gain us yards. We were doing this during our earlier games, and we need to regain the confidence to attack from dummy half again, phase after phase.
The runs from dummy half made by such as Owen last night were solely being used to buy time for the forwards to return to position or for them to get a breather. We have great attacking potential and we need to start using it more.
