| Lets firstly face up to how awesome Warrington were last night. The score line didn't flatter them...they were that good, and would have inflicted a defeat on any other current SL team. It's just the scale of defeat that would vary team to team. They are not top of the table with such points differences for no reason. So credit to them!
Now what we need to do is look at ourselves and say what can we learn from the last 4 SL games. In my humble opinion, defence around the ruck, speed of playing the ball and runs from dummy half are areas where teams have exploited us over the past 4 SL games. Co-incidentally they are areas where we have not been quick enough, or sharp enough to get other teams on the back foot and gain us yards. We were doing this during our earlier games, and we need to regain the confidence to attack from dummy half again, phase after phase.
The runs from dummy half made by such as Owen last night were solely being used to buy time for the forwards to return to position or for them to get a breather. We have great attacking potential and we need to start using it more.

| Shocking performance.
And let's not build Warrington up too much. They've lost at home to Catalan and Hull recently so they're not bloody invincible.
Personally, it sickens me to see the likes of Mathers having golf days with his old mates in the opposition in the week of a game. It makes for being soft..and that's what Cas were.

| Lets be realistic here. Cas had the ball for about 5 or 6 sets and spilled it on most of them. If you cant get hold of the ball you cant score points. When your tackling for that amount during a game your gonna get tired and thats what happened which is why we let in so many tries. Give the players a break, with the amount of injuries and key players out at the moment the team need the supporters behind them if they win or loose. I was very dissapointed with the result also but can see why things dont go our way. Warrington and Leeds tackled us out of the game and kept possesion very well Cas need to do the basics right and the results will follow.

| I thought Mathers was your best player, at least he was prepared to try things. Many of your other players looked disinterested and were to put it kindly, anonymous.

| Wire were class...
Cas have no forwards at present and no halves or 3/4 can play our attacking game going backwards.
Things need to change for the cup game as kear will just furrow Wakey down the middle.

| I think we will see a different castleford on Saturday. But it is still no excuse for a pathetic performance. The players must have a hard look at themselves. I suspect their thoughts on Friday were that they werent going to win so why bother putting your body on the line, as we have a cup game next saturday which is winnable.

| Cas cannot go into games thinking they can just turn the form on, even if they thought they were going to lose their pride in the shirt should have pushed them on, they get paid to put their bodies on the line through the season...they can't put holiday forms in for matches they dont want to try in!

| Bang on the nail WaltonTiger.
A couple of days to absorb and assimilate that result and I still can't think of anything positive to say... they just didn't compete at all on Friday. A woeful performance, even accounting for the key position absentees. Wire showed us how to play, simple as, and it looks like worse is to come. If anyone knows how to exploit the obvious shattered confidence it's Kear, so unless something changes fast I predict we'll be seeing a lot more of Vastman and chums after Saturday...

| The most positive thing for me about the game was hearing Matterson's comments afterwards.
You can never be quite sure what you're gonna get with him and he could have used injuries and the quality of the oposition as an excuse - as was readily offered to him by the interviewer - but he was clearly furious with the attitude and application of the players. This will no doubt result in a very hard week of training ahead of the cup match.
Being hammered to that extent could ultimately work in our favour come Saturday. Had we put up a good show and only lost by say 20 - 30 pts the players may have been patting themselves on the back and think they'll be plenty good enough to beat Wakey so risk defeat through complacency. As it is they should come out breathing fire against Wakey determined to make amends for not only the poor showing against Warrington but the Good Friday defeat against Wakey.
The margin in ability between all the sides in SL is now relatively small. The greatest determining factor as to who wins the game is attitude. So if Crusaders turn up with a 100% right attitude to the match against say Huddersfield with only a 90% right attitude you see an emphatic Crusaders win as was seen on Good Friday.
This is why a team such as Salford can beat Bradford by 50pts 1 wk and another week get beat by 50 themselves.
What I'm trying to say is its more than possible for Cas to turn around the last couple of dismal showings against SL sides and produce a victory on Saturday...

| Before Cas went on this losing run, a lot of RL fans were saying how refreshing it was to see the likes of Cas and Huddersfield up there mixing it with the big 3 from the other end of the M62. I agreed, but did point out the easy fixture list Cas had been dealt. Huddersfield was a superb win, but you did beat Hull when they were still finding there feet. Warrington will not run away with things this season as I feel the top 4 are on a par and it could be one of the best play-off series yet, come September. Cas will make the top 8, but fans have got to be realistic - your only chance of a trophy is the CC and why not?
I hope Cas manage to turn things round 'cos we need competitive derby matches in West Yorkshire and seeing as though the Bulls will be as bad as ever this season we need a strong Cas.

| Why doesn't this accounting tycoon (or what ever he is) that’s worth £millions£ dip his hand in his pocket and sign some players for you? We’ve had about a hundred press releases from Dickie Wright telling us how he's investing in Cas, blah blah blah. If he's such a big backer why didn't you get him to invest pre season on some more signings to bulk your squad up, maybe you would have some strength in depth then!
