As I've said before - the RFL would do well to remember that there are additional criteria other than those for facilities. Whilst our stadium is poor, there are some areas in which we really excel.
I agree. Too much emphasis is being placed on stadiums. I believe yours to be one of the favourite grounds of away fans. I certainly would put the jungle in the top 4 favourite RL grounds I have been to.
With regard to yoof development, community work etc, I would think that you again have a set up that is on par with other, supposedly safe teams.
The issue here is that the RFL have yet to publish what will score what in the licence applications.
I also reject claims that Quins RL, my club, will be saved purely on the develpment ticket. If this does happen, then you could argue that granting us a licence to us on projected future players and development, but ejecting a team on the basis of them not having built a stadium YET smacks of double standards to say the least.
All we know is that the RFL will probably not publish the full criteria required for acceptance to superleague in 2012 and that whoever gets the chop will certainly have a right to feel hard done by.
For me, I still say it will be Quins RL that might step down before they are ejected.......the club can't support itself financially and out major shareholder isn't allowed to assist us.
What I do know is that if it isn't Quins RL, then it will be between yourselves and wakefield....and IMO neither of your clubs or fans deserve that.
