Tigers Backroom Staff - Ins and Outs : Fri Oct 07, 2011 8:27 am
Worth a separate thread I think...
It appears there are a number of changes taking place within the backroom staff to usher in the age of Basil. We already know Andy Hay's gone, but there've been two other stories this week too: Russell Jones, physio for 11 years is leaving the club. Millward revealed two of his backroom staff. Still no Assistant Coach announcement but a number of rumours are doing the rounds, the strongest of which seems to be Stuart Wilkinson, formerly of Leeds and Wigan. I've often said that continuity is in the best interests of any club's progress. We've had this pretty consistently for the last 3 or 4 years. At this stage my expectations are for us to strengthen squad in depth rather than to make wholesale changes - with so many changes taking place off the field there still needs to be some continuity which can be achieved through the playing squad. I feel next season will be one of 'bedding in' for the new coaching team and I fear a number of Cas fans will call for Millward's head if they don't see instant improvements. Patience is a virtue though and everything seems quite positive at the moment. |
