Thought his pre-match and post-match comments about Cas were the mark of a true professional. I agree that I have given him my fair share of stick over the years as he comes across as very arrogant to many, but you only had to see his reaction on kicking the winning points (which were very similar to when he kicked the winner at Cas a few years back), which suggested that he knew his team were lucky to win the game.

Hats off to him and my oppinion has certainly changed after yesterday.

Agreed, and I've posted some similar comments on the Rhinos board earlier today.

Full credit to him, but also to their fans, most of whom were very humble following the game.

Aye, I've just watched a recording of the game and the 1st thing that struck me was how respectful Sinfield was in his reaction to kicking the winning kick - very subdued and respectful to the Cas contingent, which was further reflected in his postmatch interview where, rather than go on about how poor Leeds had played as prompted by the interviewer he opted to pay tribute to an outstanding cas performance.

I echo the sentiments of everyone above - the guy has earned new respect from me.

a great gesture from sinfield and a few of the leeds players,they knew theyd been in a game and they wernt ott so fair play to them.

thought Sinfield was a true sports man both at the end of the game and in the interviews afterwards, infact all the leeds team that were interviewed all commented on how well cas had played.

i honestly cant understand where this perception of us being holier than thou comes from?
the way that the rhinos players conducted themselves at full time was impeccable,they could have milked it big time but they just took a round of applause from the fans and left the field
sir kev was full of commiserations for you guys in his after match speech,would you ever get that from some so called prima dona?

He should be held up as an example to all the young kids in the game and sport in general not just because he was nice to Cas but his whole ethos and attitude in his proffession has earnt him respect throughout the game.

I have always liked Sinfield -a class player and showed total respect to Cas Tigers after the game.

Maybe they should build a statue of him outside Headingley ?

He's always struck me as being an intelligent guy, on and off the pitch.
