Why would we announce that a free agent had signed for a club?

All the best to Ryan.

No need for Cas to put it on website, Ryan's no longer a Cas player, I don't blame the club for not announcing it, that's up to his new club Salford, good luck to the lad (unless he's playing against us at any point), I would have kept Ryan, but he obviously thinks he's worth more than the club does.

Il get slated for this but i personally think it is the right decision to let Ryan go, its obvious he was asking for more that the club thought he was worth.

I didnt think he was impressive enough last season and the season before to warrant a wage rise and applaud the club for not letting the player hold the stick in the contract negotiations, i hope this continues from now on!

He didn't get enough game time to prove his worth, and that is down to the coach!

But if he wasnt playing well in the game time he got we shouldnt keep playing him to pick up his form, he should of been dropped like he was, there is no place for sentiments when your in a professional sport.....

No i dont know the fact and i dont profess to know the facts.

Im sorry i dont know all the ins and outs of how the club is run, to be honest i dont want to. All i want is to be able to turn up on a weekend and watch the team i support with the confidence that they will put everything into the game, for me Boyle wasnt doing that last year..... please see my last post about why he didnt get game time!

I honestly wish Ryan all the best for the future but if we strive to nbe a top 4 team, TM obviously doesnt think hes good enough to be in the squad, Leeds let youngsters go who their supporters think are good enough....look where they are, we need to strive to be up there!

You know this for sure do you? the only thing which seemed obvious was that Matteson did not rate him that much hence him signing for Salford, who obviously rate him more highly and presumably because of that will have given him an increase in salary which go hand in hand.

If what i was told was true it was more down to the fact that boyle wanted more first team games than he was getting here (being behind sargent, huby etc) which he will get at salford, hence why he didnt sign for any of the bigger teams that came snifiing. I wish him luck and hope one day he returns to play in the black and amber.
